Leicester City held Manchester City to a 0-0 draw at the King Power Stadium, ensuring they end 2015 ahead of Manuel Pellegrini's men in the Premier League table.
Manchester City began the game in fourth, three points behind second-placed Leicester. Leicester could have finished the year top, having started 2015 bottom of the league under previous manager Nigel Pearson.
The first half was dominated by Man City, with Raheem Sterling dangerous throughout, but Jamie Vardy missed a great chance just before the end of the half.
City and Leicester slogged their way throughout an end-to-end match, but both appeared content to finish the year by sharing the points and preparing for the rest of the title race to come in 2016.
City will be pleased with the opportunity to give Sergio Aguero and David Silva more time to build up their fitness without further aggravating any injuries, as Vicent Kompany watched from the crowd. Leicester will be satisfied to end the season joint top of the league.
