The much publicized G6 encounter between Hearts of oak and Aduana Stars has been called off due to a power failure.
This was after a total black out of the stadium thirteen minutes into the game.
The Group B encounter which delayed for 15 minutes due to a problem with the floodlight started with the Phobians on the front foot creating and squandering many chances.
The problem with the floodlight reared its ugly head yet again putting the whole stadium into total darkness.
Organizers of the tournament had no option but to call off the game. This will come as a big blow to them as preparations had been made for the event
This unfortunate incident will most likely affect the schedule of the four day event with three other matches including Sunday’s final scheduled to be played under flood light.
