The Africa Film Academy (AFA) is inviting filmmakers to submit their works for consideration for the 7th Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) which is Africa’s premier film awards. The Africa Movie Academy Awards, founded in 2005 and held annually in Nigeria, celebrated its 6th edition on April 10, 2010. It awards the best films, actors/actresses, directors and movie producers across the length and breadth of the African Continent. AMAA has become an established engagement platform for filmmakers, industry professionals and all creative industry stakeholders and organisers say it is to facilitate the development and showcase the social relevance of African Film and Cinema. The 7th Edition of the AMAAs will be held in April 2011 and will be televised globally. The deadline for all submissions is December 30, 2010. See below the list of award categories
