Head coach of the national under 17 team, the Black Starlets, has rubbished assertions that the current nationwide scouting exercise ongoing for a new team is not just based in Accra.
Emphasizing the importance of building a national and not a regional team, the former Inter Allies boss explained what his aims to Asempa FM.
"We will start playing qualifiers for Africa so we will extend our net very wide. We will not emphasize only on Accra but to all the ten regions to scout young talents. We need a national team so we need to go to all the regions to unearth talents. Managing at the under 17 level is very difficult as compared to other national teams especially when the MRI issue comes in. You have to unearth the talents in their raw state and polish it for the other national teams."
The under 17 technical team embarks on a nationwide tour which starts on January 15 ahead of the under 17 African qualifies.
