Accra Hearts of Oak have arguably saved their best signings of the preseason for the last with the addition of six new members to their squad.
The Phobians had caused uneasiness amongst their fans earlier with the signing of relatively inexperienced players who were later shown the exit after poor outings in the club’s friendly in Libya.
After signing experienced midfielder Mustapha Essuman earlier in the week, the Phobians have added more experienced Premier League campaigners to the squad.
Holding midfielder Ebenezer Adjei has joined from Wa All Stars. The 27 year old midfielder has been part and parcel of the Wa side since their promotion to the Premier Division and his inclusion is set to offer the needed competition for Sarbah Laryea and Richard Yamoah.
Central defender Richard Akrofi has also joined the team from Wa All Stars. Akrofi featured for the side during the G6 tournament and impressed the technical handlers of the team with his agility and tough tackling.

Offensive midfielder Agbeshie Dotse has also joined the Phobian ranks after an impressive debut season for Accra Great Olympics.
Despite failing to help his side stay up, Agbeshie alongside Kwame Boateng were the standout performers in Yaw Acheampong’s side. Agbeshie has an eye for goal and will surely add goals to the Phobian setup should he find his feet.

The Phobians have found it tough to replace the goals of Mahatma Otoo since his departure two seasons ago. In securing the services of Sam Yeboah and Bernard Ofori, the Phobians hope to alleviate this problem.
Ayew was a hitman for Kpando Heart of Lions finding the net with relative ease before embarking on an unsuccessful trip to Israel. With his experience and ability to receive good services , Yeboah can find his scoring touch once again.

Hearts fans will never forget Bernard Ofori after his brace sunk the Phobians to a 3-2 defeat on the last day of the 2013/2014 season causing the Phobians to miss a continental spot. The striker is the physical type who will want to bully his way round defences. He should be a handful for most defenders in the league.

Full back Emmanuel Nti Mensah is also on the verge of signing for the Phobians after talks reached an advanced stage. Nti Mensah is a regular for New Edubiase and his consistent performances earned him a call up to the Black Metoers where he played an instrumental role in their qualification to the All African Games.
The club currently has Fatau Mohammed and Owusu Bempah on their books as right full backs but with Bempah seemingly losing his form after the African Youth Championship in Senegal last year, Nti’ signing will be a welcome addition.
