Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari has accepted head coach Milovan Rajevac’s decision to keep him on the bench at the World Cup.
The Uefa Champions League winner sat out last Sunday’s 1-0 win over Serbia at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.
Muntari has been battling a thigh injury and he feels okay with the team finding their rhythm.
“It was good to see the guys play so well,” Muntari said Tuesday.
“It did not matter that I didn’t play. The big thing was that we won. I’m now looking forward to helping the guys in our next match against Australia. I’m really looking forward to it.”
It is unlikely Muntari will make a start against Australia on Saturday after Dede Ayew’s impressive display last Sunday.
