Ghana defender Isaac Vorsah will not be available for selection in Wednesday’s crucial Group D meeting with Germany at the Soccer City Stadium after failing to win the fitness battle.
The Hoffenheim ace is suffering from a knee injury he picked up during Ghana’s Group D opener against Serbia.
He could only jog round the pitch during Tuesday’s training session and will be big loss to head coach Milovan Rajevac who was hoping to tap his knowledge on Germany, where he plies his trade.
Vorsah sat out last Saturday’s one-all draw with Australia due to the same problem.
The 22-year-old underwent surgery at the same spot back in February this year in the Bundesliga which sidelined him for close to six weeks.
In his absence, youngster Jonathan Mensah who was impressive on his World Cup debut is likely to partner now-fit John Mensah in defence.
