Ashantigold boycotted the medal presentation of the 2016 Super Cup on Sunday after their 1-0 defeat to Medeama.
The Miners hurriedly left the pitch for the tunnel and were seen boarding their team bus a few minutes afterwards as the victorious Medeama danced their way to another silverware.
The Miners were aggrieved following referee Daniel Laryea’s decision to disallow a goal scored by new signing Fredrick Quayson after he was deemed to be offside.
Quayson tucked the ball at the back of the net after goalkeeper Muntari Tagoe had parried an overhead kick back into play.
The decision certainly did not go down well with the Ashantigold hierarchy who hurriedly left the pitch after a word of prayer without receiving the silver medal.
