The Seventh-Day Adventist Church is asking government to resolve current security skirmishes in some parts of the country ahead of the 2016 elections.
President of the Northern Ghana Union Mission, Pastor (Dr) Kwame Kwanin Boakye fears delay in resolving the current feuds may create fear in some citizenry in the general elections.
He further calls on persons in the affected areas to restrain calm, for amicable resolution of the situation.
“We are all worried about the misunderstandings happening at some parts of the country, in Agogo we have two churches there so we hope for quick resolution of the situation and I hear the government has started the process”. Pastor Kwanin has said.
This comes after the emergence of feuds in Agogo and Old Tafo in the Ashanti region and Bunkrugu Yunyoo in the Northern region.
Pastor (Dr) Kwanin Boakye fears delay in resolving pockets of the feuds in some parts of the country could degenerate or create fear in the citizenry ahead of the 2016 general elections.
He has therefore appealed to residents affected by these feuds to restrain themselves while amicable solution is being sought.
Meanwhile, 7 new ministers have been ordained at the Central, Mid-Central and the Ashanti South conference of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church with a call on the new ministers to be the vehicle of change in the church.
Former Secretary of the General Conference of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Pastor Matthew Bediako who administered warned Christians against charlatans.
“Due to the want of money, a lot of people have become preachers and we all need to be careful of them…we are here to feed the flock”. He warned.
