A fatal accident on the Tamale-Kintampo road in Brong Ahafo Region Wednesday evening claimed 53 lives and injured 23 others.
The accident occurred when a Metro Mass bus with faulty brakes rammed into a cargo truck.
The accident happened around 20:00 GMT when the Metro Mass bus had a head-on collision with the truck that was carrying tomatoes. The track was believed to be traveling from Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso heading to Accra.
