'Captain Smart' and Afia Pokua both of Adom FM clashed on air Tuesday morning, after he singled out parliamentarians for failing the country.
The 'Dwaso Nsem' presenter accused the MPs of failing to hold agencies under the Transport ministry accountable after at least 71 passengers perished in a road accident on the Kintampo-Tamale Highway last week.
Reports say the lack of ambulances to convey some injured victims to the hospital on time, led to the severity of their injuries and aggravated the fatalities.
Blessed Godbrain Smart also known as 'Captain Smart' began the accusations after some listeners phoned in to register their frustrations in times of emergencies when ambulance services are needed.
Some three MPs who were in the studio- MP for Oda, William Quaitoo, MP for KEEA, Nana Ato Athur and MP for Ablekuma Central, Theophilus Tetteh Chaie- tried to defend themselves.
But the argument went a notch higher when the host of Adom FM's 'Burning Issues' Afia Pokua joined her colleague in the studio to contribute to the show. 'Vim Lady' as she is popularly referred to, condemned the singling out of Parliamentarians. She said the President is responsible for the appointment of Ministers.
“Call for the health Minister’s head. The Minister of Health should bow down his head in shame,” she argued.
