Another accident occurred along the Techiman - Kintampo road yesterday involving a Yutong Bus and a truck carrying tomatoes traveling from the Northern Region to Kumasi.
The accident involved four cars, an O.A. Yutong bus with registration number GT 3994-12, A DAF truck, a sprinter bus with registration number AS 2483-15 and a KIA Rhino with registration number AS 2033-15.
Several passengers on board the Yutong Bus sustained minor injuries and have all been discharged.

The driver and mate of the tomato truck got injured as well with the driver said to be in a critical condition and responding to treatment at the Holy Family Hospital.
The accident which occurred at about 12 am last night looked similar to the Kintampo accident which claimed over 60 lives two weeks ago.

“The Yutong bus which was traveling from Kumasi to the north was traveling at a high speed and in an attempt to overtake, the driver veered off his lane to hit the tomato truck,” the eyewitness explained.
An eyewitness explained that before the accident involving the Yutong bus and the tomato truck, there was an earlier accident at the same place involving a Sprinter and a KIA Rhino with the police on the scene directing traffic.
