Premier League leaders Leicester City were held to a 2-2 draw by West Bromwich Albion at the King Power Stadium.

Leicester went into the game looking to open up a five-point gap at the top of the table before second-placed Tottenham's trip to West Ham on Wednesday, but they found themselves behind after only 12 minutes.

Darren Fletcher set up Salomon Rondon, who held off Robert Huth and slotted past Kasper Schmeichel for his seventh goal of the campaign.

Leicester responded to the setback well and were level on the half-hour mark, although Danny Drinkwater's equaliser needed a huge deflection to beat Ben Foster.

West Brom, who went into the match on the back of two consecutive league wins, struggled to cope with the Foxes' attack and, after Jamie Vardy had hit the crossbar, Andy King fired into the top corner on the stroke of half-time.

Within five minutes of the restart, though, the Baggies were level as Craig Gardner scored with a superb free kick.

Claudio Ranieri's men laid siege to the West Brom goal in search of victory and Leonardo Ulloa, the hero of Saturday's win over Norwich, came close in the final moments, but ultimately Leicester had to settle for a share of the spoils.

The result means Spurs will move top of the table on goal difference should they beat West Ham on Wednesday.

Chelsea recorded a third successive Premier League victory as they beat Norwich City 2-1 at Carrow Road.

Chelsea needed less than a minute to break the deadlock against struggling Norwich, who had taken one point from their last seven games.

Kenedy, who started at left-back ahead of the benched Baba Rahman, was allowed space to run at the Norwich defence before firing past John Ruddy from the edge of the area.

The Blues doubled their advantage just before the break, with Diego Costa chipping Ruddy from a Bertrand Traore assist, although the Spain striker had appeared to be some distance offside.

Norwich had the chance to get back into the game shortly after the break only for Cameron Jerome to fluff his lines, but Nathan Redmond fired into the roof of the net to make it 2-1 on 68 minutes.

The Canaries could not find a second goal, though, and defeat sees them drop into the relegation zone, while Chelsea move up to eighth.

Aston Villa's hopes of avoiding relegation faded further as they suffered a 3-1 defeat at home to Everton.

Ramiro Funes Mori gave the visitors the lead after only five minutes as he rose to head home Kevin Mirallas' corner.

Villa went in search of an equaliser but were hit on the counter-attack on 30 minutes, with Ross Barkley breaking away and finding Mirallas, who squared for Aaron Lennon to slot home.

Romelu Lukaku scored from a Funes Mori cross on the hour to make it 3-0 and, although Rudy Gestede reduced the arrears on 79 minutes, it did little to boost morale around Villa Park, with the club now eight points away from safety.

Fabio Borini netted a late equaliser for Sunderland in a 2-2 draw at home to Crystal Palace that saw them move out of the relegation zone.

Palace boss Alan Pardew said on Monday that his side were in the relegation battle after a run of 10 games without a win, and their hopes of a result at the Stadium of Light suffered a setback when Dame N'Doye's strike deflected into the net via Scott Dann on 36 minutes.

However, Connor Wickham -- the scorer of two goals in the 3-2 loss to West Brom at the weekend -- continued his impressive form with a leveller from a Yannick Bolasie assist on 61 minutes.

Six minutes later, he had his second, firing home on the volley following a corner to put Palace in the lead.

However, Borini fired home an equaliser in the dying moments of the game to see Sunderland move ahead of 18th-placed Norwich and 19th-placed Newcastle -- who have two games in hand -- on goal difference.

Bournemouth beat Southampton 2-0 at Dean Court in a major boost to their hopes of Premier League survival.

The Cherries seized the advantage on 31 minutes when a weak clearance from Southampton keeper Fraser Forster allowed Steve Cook to hook the ball home.

With a little over 10 minutes to play, Benik Afobe headed home a second to see Eddie Howe's side move eight points clear of the relegation zone.

The match was overshadowed as fourth official Kevin Friend was rushed to hospital after collapsing and banging his head.
