One-Heart Foundation, an NGO, has supported Tamale Central Hospital with beds and other Hospital consumables.
The hospital has been battling a lack of beds for patients.
The donation was made in conjunction with US-based Sparks Regional Medical Center.
Delivering the items, the founder of the organization Dr Nasser Adjei, an Interventional Cardiologist, and a friend of the organization Jeffery Neil said their attention was drawn to the plight of the hospital by the Medical Director.
Dr Adjei further stated that the Foundation will soon come out with a project called "operation no patient on the floor" where more beds will be supplied to public hospitals across the country.
Accepting the items, the Medical Director of the Tamale Central hospital, Dr Mahamadu Mbiniwaya thanked the organization for their wonderful support and called on both private and the general public to come to the aid of the hospital.
The hospital serves over 100,000 inhabitants in and around the Tamale Metropolis and also serves as a referral center for most facilities in and around Tamale.
Mahamadu Mbiniwaya promised the hospital management will put the donations to good use.
