Over 200 people have received free diabetes health screening Thursday at Breman in the Central Region organised by The Sugar Project.
The residents thronged to the Village Square to have their diabetes status checked and to receive counselling from the doctors for free.
Also, they were taken through some lifestyle choices as well as their consequences.
Some of the people confessed that they had until the screening disregarded their diabetes status and that the project has helped to enlightened them.

Pupils of St. Benedict Catholic school were in attendance to access the free screening and counseling.
"I have learned to be careful of what I eat and how I eat", said one of the residents.

According to Dr. Nana Ama Barnes, the Thursday screening has helped the people to be conscious of their health.
She said The Sugar Project has been helpful and should be replicated across board.

The Sugar Project was initiated by Joy FM in 2015 with the motivation of helping Ghanaians live right through the adoption of the right lifestyle.
It was borne out of the vision of the host of Joy FM's Super Morning Show, Kojo Yankson, who is diabetic.
The Sugar Project conducts campaigns and education with the aim of helping diabetic patients manage with a healthy lifestyle.

It is spearheaded by the host of the Joy FM's Super Morning Show (SMS), Kojo Yankson.
Meanwhile the health screening will continue in some other areas of the region.
They were thankful to The Sugar Project team and the host, Kojo Yankson for bringing such an important project to their doorsteps.
The Suger project is supported by the Vodafone foundation and Medilab.
