Fans of Ebusua Dwarfs are calling for the resignation of Joseph 'JE' Sarpong.
The experienced coach, who only recently guided the Cape Coast side back into the Ghana Premier League. may be on the verge of losing his job after some supporters of the club called for his head.
Dwarfs drew with Hearts of Oak at home on Sunday, meaning that the side are yet to chalk up a win in three games. “No doubt, JE Sarpong guided us back into the premier league and we are highly grateful for that but we can’t continue like this in this league," one of the angry fans spat.
"We the supporters of the club dreamt that the team will win this match because the team will have our support in full playing to Hearts of Oak here in Cape Coast but this draw is hugely unacceptable for us.
"How can the coach (J.E Sarpong) leave out the club’s best striker in the name of Bright Lukman on the bench while playing against a team like Hearts? Knowing definitely that you need to win this match. How?"
Lukman was the team's top scorer during last season's Division One campaign and is miles ahead of the other forwards in terms of pedigree.
Another fan said: "We can see clearly that the coach is not fit to coach the club in the premier league and we the supporters are calling on him to resign immediately from the club before it gets worse because one point out of six is totally unacceptable."
Dwarfs have now played three matches, losing two and drawing one. They lie 14th on the league log. The Cape Coasters now travel to Tarkwa to play Medeama.
