Assistant coach of Asante Kotoko Michael Osei has admitted the club’s poor start to the season has added additional pressure to their side but confident the Porcupine Warriors will scale this hurdle.
Kotoko have no win in three games picking up only two points from a possible.
This has left the fans singling out players and coach David Duncan for underperforming but for Osei this is just a phase which could be overcome by belief from all in the rank and file of the clubb
“There is always pressure. The expectations on Kotoko are high. It is normal especially at this moment where things have not gone well these three games,” Osei told Asempa Sports.
“We just plead with them to have patience and not put excessive pressure on theplaying body and technical team.”
“They should have belief in us. They should not give up so we fight through this together.”
Kotoko’s next game is a tricky tie away to Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park and for Osei, they must just avoid defeat.
“We have to make sure we get a good result. Chelsea is a good side and it won’t be easy playing them at their grounds.”
“We have potential to win there. We have to psyche the boys because they know the situation on the ground.”
“We hope for a good result. We will hope to avoid a draw otherwise our morale will be further dampened.”
A win could kick start the campaign for Kotoko who had been tipped to win the league after an impressive preseason.
