Neymar scored a brace as Barcelona stretched their unbeaten run to 37 games after destroying Getafe 6-0.
An own goal from Juan Rodriguez started the rout before Lionel Messi had a penalty saved.
The miss did not matter though as Munir El Haddadi, Neymar and a fine strike from Messi made it 4-0 at the break.
It was a similar pattern in the second half with the Brazilian striker grabbing his second before Arda Turan executed a fine bicycle kick following a corner.
The result moves Luis Enrique’s side 11 points clear at the top of the table and gives Arsenal’s defence plenty to think about going into Wednesday’s second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.
TALKING POINT
Was this Barcelona’s most dominant performance of the season in La Liga? From minute one the home side bombarded Getafe’s goal and did not give them any time or space on the ball.
They scored five away to Rayo Vallecano earlier this month and six at home to Celta Vigo in February but this result certainly ranks as one of most emphatic – considering Luis Suarez was on the bench.
MAN OF THE MATCH: Neymar (Barcelona)
The Brazilian returned from suspension and was in electric form. He combined brilliantly with Messi on two occasions to score. And his pace and trickery were too much for the visitors to handle.
