Ghana’s Medeama SC will meet Sudanese El Ahly Shendy in the second round of the 2016 CAF Confederation Cup.
The second round which includes the 16 winners of the first round battle out to reach the next stage of the competition where they will be joined by teams eliminated from the CAF Champions League.
Medeama won 2-1 on aggregate against Libyan side Al Ittihad Tripoli after coming back from a 1-0 defeat in the first leg tie played in Tunisia due to security reasons.
They secured a 2-0 victory courtesy an Abass Mohammed brace to book a date with El Ahly Shendy.
The Sudanese club also qualified by the away goal’s rule after drawing 2-2 awith Congolese club FC Saint-Éloi Lupopo .
El Ahly Shendy will host Medeama SC in Sudan between 8th – 10th April with the return leg coming up 19th and 20th April in Ghana.
Sudanese El Ahly Shendy was founded in 2004.
