Ex-Ghana international Augustine Arhinful has cautioned the Black Stars to be wary of a ‘dangerous’ Mozambique side ahead of their 2017 AFCON qualifier today.
The two teams will clash in Accra in their third group of the qualifiers.
Ghana will be chasing a third consecutive win in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against bottom side Mozambique at the Accra Sport Stadium.
The Black Stars must avoid defeat against the OS Mambas to make the return leg a mere formality on Sunday in Mozambique.
Both teams have kept their cards close to their chest even though Mozambique have engaged in psychological battle ahead of the crunch tie at the Accra Sports stadium.
The formal Liverpool player has tipped his men to silence the West Africans at their own backyard and the ex-international has warned the team to be cautious against a solid OS Mambas side.
“We have to be cautious. No complacency. We have all the names but in football anything is possible,” Arhinful told Asempa Sports
“We have the potential but we must be careful a bit against them. We should not make a mistake because our opponent won’t come cheap.”
“They (Mozambique) do not have the quality, skills, materials that we have but they are a dangerous side.”
“But I’m confident we can come to the party this afternoon.”
Ghana tops Group H with Six points after two matches while The Mambas are without a win.
