The Black Stars of Ghana will miss the services of two key players as they head back to the Soccer City Stadium in South Africa for an international friendly against Bafana Bafana on Wednesday.
Defender John Mensah and Kelvin Prince Boateng will be out due to club commitments.
This was confirmed by the vice president of the Ghana Football Association, Fred Pappoe, in an interview with Joy Sports on Tuesday.
Kelvin Boateng is scheduled for a medical ahead of his switch to Italian side Genoa from relegated Portsmouth in England.
Mensah still has some tidying up to do despite reaching a one-year loan agreement with Sunderland from Lyon.
The two were crucial in the Stars’ quarter final clash against Uruguay which they lost, albeit under controversial circumstances.
Wa All Stars’ Bright Addae has subsequently been called up for the match which will be the first international match for the two teams after the just-ended World Cup.
