The Black Satellites will leave for Japan later Tuesday to participate in a four-nation tournament which will be held from August 19 to 24.
The Satellites will play European giants Spain, China and the hosts Japan in the one-week youth tournament as part of preparations for the remaining African qualifiers.
The reigning African champions must beat Benin over two legs to qualify to the 2011 African Youth Championship finals to be hosted by Libya.
Coach of the Black Satellites, Orlando Wellington has told Joy Sports he hopes the tournament will put his side in top shape for the task ahead.
“This is a friendly international match and I just want them to prepare themselves very well to get the temperament of any pressure that may come their way.”
“…It is very good especially for the local players who are in the camp. It will give them a lot of exposure,” he said.
