Accra Representative of Asante Kotoko, Edmund Ackah, is hoping his side break the jinx in Dormaa when the Porcupines play Aduana in week six of the Ghana Premier League.
Kotoko are yet to beat Aduana in seven years at Dormaa since they joined the league with their best being a draw.
The Porcupines, who enter the game in inconsistent form, are hoping to break the jinx in order to record their second win in the league.
“We are going to Dormaa as the fixtures have it,” Ackah told Asempa Sports.
“We have not won there since they came to the league but we are hoping to break the jinx.”
“Almost all our players are regaining full fitness, just a few are below the full fitness but we are hopeful of getting all of them there.”
The build up to the game has been dominated by the settlement of debts owed Kotoko players but there will be another boost with Aduana expected to be without Godfred Saka and Emmanuel Akuoko.
For Ackah, there is not much advantage in that because Aduana have competent replacements.
“I don’t really know much about the team especially the new players but they registered 30 players so they will have competent replacement for them.”
“I don’t wish for my opponents to be injured but I will be glad if both players regain full fitness after our match on Sunday.”
Kotoko lost 1-0 to Aduana in Dormaa in the opening game of last season’s league.
