Telecommunication giants Vodafone Ghana’s partnership with the Right to dream Football Academy to unearth talents in the country, is bringing hope to burgeoning footballers.
The project which started in Kumasi a fortnight ago, hit the Brong Ahafo regional capital Sunyani last weekend.
Deprived but talented boys between the ages of 12-14 had to strut their stuff for a five-year scholarship at stake at the Sunyani Coronation Park.
The project heads for Tamale this weekend and will be replicated in all ten regional capitals.
Right to Dream Academy started some ten years ago and seeks to offer young talents the opportunity to harness their potentials and also use acquired skills and knowledge from the Academy to build a better life for themselves, their families and their communities.
Vodafone Ghana has signed a sponsorship deal with the project organizers over the next three years.
Former Ghana captain C.K Akunnor is technical director of the project.
Current Black Stars team mates Richard Kingson and Andre Ayew are ambassadors for the telephony company.
