Sulley Muntari will be left out in the cold for Ghana’s Nations Cup qualifier away to Swaziland, but Milovan Rajevac has included Jordan Ayew, David Addy and Kotoko goalkeeper Isaac Amoako for the trip, KickOffGhana.com can exclusively reveal.
Muntari, whose spat with Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac nearly ruined the Black Stars campaign at the 2010 World Cup, has been ignored for the second straight game in a move that will lend some credibility to reports that his international career is over so long as Rajevac remains in charge.
Rajevac though, has called up the youngest son of Ghanaian legend Abedi Pele, Jordan Ayew, after a series of cameo appearances for Olympic Marseille alongside his brother Dede.
There is also a recall for David Addy, the FC Porto left-back now on loan at Academica in the Portuguese league, while Amoako is preferred to Stephen Ahorlu.
Matthew Amoah, who has started the Dutch season in fine goalscoring form for NAC Breda, is back in the side, as is Hans Sarpei after both were excused from the international friendly against South Africa earlier this month.
Ghana will camp in Johannesburg from August 30 and fly to Manzini, Swaziland on September 3 before playing the qualifier on two days later.
