The national handball team is looking forward to conquering the rest of the sub-region when they take part in the ECOWAS Games which kick starts next week in Nigeria.
Ghana’s female U-20 team emerged fourth behind Nigeria, Benin and hosts Cote d’Ivoire in the African Handball Challenge Championship which ended last Sunday.
William Kyei is the Secretary General of the Ghana Handball Association and says he is expecting an improved performance from both the male and female teams at the Games.
“We just need to have confidence in the team because we did prepare very well before we went for the Africa hand ball challenge trophy and we realised that we have a strong male team as well.
“…So we are going there with a very formidable team and I am just praying that with the form that they have here they are going to perform very week so we get something for the country,” he said.
