Huawei G Power: The power bank smartphone

Huawei Technologies Ghana, recently launched the Huawei G Power device onto the Ghanaian market at a special media and dealer event, held in Accra.

A few weeks after the launch, the Smartphone giant has sold thousands of G Power devices after consumers realised that apart from its superior battery performance, it can be used to charge other smart devices.

With the unique reverse charging feature, the G Power can be used to charge other smartphone devices; and all one has to do is to simply connect the G Power to a USB port of any smartphone that needs charging using a USB cable and watch the G Power do the rest.

The G Power has eight unique in-built power saving technologies that maintain optimal battery power even after using it to charge other devices. With a 4000mAh battery capacity, the G Power gives normal users 90 hours of light use, 48 hours of heavy use, 39 hours of call time and 15 hours of non-stop web surfing.

“The Huawei G Power will give users the luxury of enjoying all the key features of their Smartphone devices, without bothering about the battery life,” said Robin Sun, Country Manager for Device Business at Huawei Technologies Ghana. “Users can also use the Huawei G Power for two days without charging,” Robin added.

The dual-SIM Huawei G Power Smartphone though a mid-range device, boasts of several features of flagship devices. Enhanced for low light, the Huawei G Power comes with a 13-megapixel camera that makes it possible to take beautiful, high-quality photos during the day or at night and 5MP front camera for taking ‘selfies’ and other front-facing photos.

The G Power comes with a free phone cover and screen protector in-box. MTN users also get to enjoy free 4.8GB data and 30hrs of talk time for one year.

Last month, Huawei introduced new and trendy smart devices in the likes of the Huawei Mate 8 and ShotX Smartphones onto the Ghanaian market.

Huawei is currently the third largest smartphone manufacturer in the world with a 44% year-on-year increase in Smartphone shipments in 2015.
