Former Commonwealth Middleweight Boxing Champion Charles Adamu says the recognition by SWAG as the professional boxer of the year 2009 is all he needs to recapture his lost title.
Adamu won the Commonwealth middleweight title last year but lost it in April this year to Brit, George Groves in Manchester.
The 35th SWAG awards night this Saturday at the Banquet Hall of the State House will award Adamu and other sportsmen and women for their achievements in 2009.
Adamu tells Joy Sports he is appreciative of the gesture.
“I feel very great and give thanks to the Almighty Father for me to take the professional boxer of the year.
“I have looking forward for it a very long time ago and this is the time the opportunity to take the award,” he stated.
