Ace actor Brew Riverson Jnr, who has been away from the silver screens for close to a decade now, says the sale of the Ghana Film Incorporated Company (GFIC) killed the Ghanaian movie industry.
The actor, who is currently the Head of the Theatre Department at the University of Education, Winneba, in a conversation with JoyNews’ MzGee admonished Ghanaians not to let theatre in the country die.
He said he does not agree with KSM’s assertion that theatre in Ghana is in crisis. Read: Video: Ghanaian theatre: There is a crisis – KSM
Brew Riverson believes Kumawood movies are sustaining the Ghanaian movie industry though their productions may not be the best.
“I don’t dream of coming back to the screen. I think I have lost the passion and cannot identify with the message,” said the ‘Home Sweet Home’ star.
Having mentored some new crop of stars, Brew doffed his hat to Majid Michel for his versatility.
