Stephen Appiah, former captain of the Black Stars, wants to up coaching five years after hanging his boots from professional football.
The former Juventus star who began his professional career with Ghanaian topflight Accra Hearts of Oak also stated that although his decision to coach is hanging in the air, he has registered for a coaching course.
Appiah is also working out on his new Soccer Academy which he will use to harness young talents and has started managing some players both here in Ghana and abroad.
In an interview with CitiSports ’Tonardo Appiah’ said “even if I am not going to be a coach I think I must have it [coaching certification] there cause you never know.”
The 2007 Turkey footballer of the year has will play in the 2016 youth games of June 29th at the Accra Sports Stadium.
