The Deputy Minister for Water Resources, Works and Housing, Dr Hannah Bissiw, has stated that despite the temporary hold-up in signing the STX housing deal, the contract will surely be signed.
She is optimistic the construction of the houses will begin before the close of the year.
Speaking on Joy FM's Super Morning Show Monday, Dr Hannah Bissiw said the government was working feverishly to address all outstanding issues with the documentation on the project.
Last week Monday government officials and their counterparts from Korea cut short a meeting at the Castle at which the joint venture agreement on the 10 billion dollar project was to be signed.
Dr Bissiw says suggestions that issues of contention forced the postponement of the signing ceremony, explaining that the agreement has been forwarded to the Attorney General for perusal and when that is done, it definitely will go through.
