More female coaches are expected to issue instructions from the bench for the various national women’s football teams with the organization of a six day FIFA Coaching programme at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
FIFA course instructor Roman Hangerter has been taking 21 participants, mainly made up of female tacticians, through the training which ends tomorrow.
Course co-ordinator, Francis Oti Akenteng told Joy Sports the significance of the training programme cannot be over emphasised.
He said the current practice where male coaches handle female national teams was not the best.
