Ghana has moved to the 17th position in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking.
The country moved up three places from September’s world rankings as a result of the team’s performance in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers, beating Swaziland 3-0.
Ghana however maintained its position as the second best team on the African continent.
The latest ranking released Wednesday by FIFA also puts Spain on top of the ranking with Netherlands playing second fiddle to the World Champions.
Ghana is still Africa's second best side behind Egypt, whiles Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Algeria and Cameroon follow the Black Stars in that order on the continent.
