The level of water in the Akosombo Dam is a little over a foot away from the maximum level of 277 feet.As at Wednesday morning, the water level was at 276.40ft, prompting officials of the Volta River Authority to meet to decide finally when to open the spillways of the Akosombo Dam and the Kpong Dam.The water level of the dam has risen to its 20 year all-time high, making the spillage an imminent development.A statement is expected later from the VRA announcing plans for the spillage.Stroy: Jerry Tsatro Mordy/Asempa News
