The latest free technology in Ghana’s E-Commerce Trading Industry called uTradia has been launched at the Coconut Grove Hotel in Accra.
Research has shown that, there are 5,171,933 internet users and 2,900,000 Facebook subscribers in Ghana as at November 2015 – indicating that there are over 5,000,000 internet users in the country.
uTradia is a media application specifically designed for businesses to showcase their products and services for free to their potential clients in Ghana and beyond, and to help small scale businesses.
The Managing Director of uTradia, Yaw Amo Mensah, says Ghanaians need reliable and credible E-Commerce Systems in order to sustain their businesses.
He said Mobile Application Systems devoid of fraud is one sure way in which the trade industry of Ghana can grow effectively, and that is the reason why uTradia has been developed as a free-to-use E-Commerce App.
With free download, the users of the uTradia Mobile App. have to download it onto their devices and browse the catalogues and other classified ads of shops and other businesses to boost trade in Ghana.
The objective of uTradia Management is to ensure that only businesses duly registered and are doing genuine business sign up onto the E-Commerce App.
The uTradia Mobile App. Catalogue has the capacity to showcase every product and service.
One would only have to design the graphics and get it onto the App for free to be accessed by users. This is aimed at saving time and money spent on printed catalogues. Catalogues on uTradia are most efficient because, it is flexible to add or remove products of one’s catalogue, and update features without reprinting, while reducing internal administrative cost on printing and distribution of printed catalogues.
The increased use of Smartphone and tablets amongst the masses implies many are those who use mobile and internet devices to check for products and services online. It is therefore imperative that products and services are placed on such platforms.
The Marketing Manager of uTradia Mr. Koree Bennet says uTradia Management has strategically decided to make uTradia free for the public. He called for sponsors to come to the support of uTradia and to invest in the E-Commerce App. to assist more businesses in Ghana.

The Ezeigbo in Ghana, Eze Dr. Ambassador Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu, who was the Guest of Honour, praised Yaw Amo for his industriousness in developing the app.
He said the developer's example should be emulated by other African youth in finding solutions to the problems that bedevil the people of Africa.
"Every Ghanaian, every African must download this app. Every shop in Ghana and Africa must list their products and services on this app and help to make it a success," he said.
Dr. Ihenetu said the African youth must be innovative in thinking.
This, he said is the only way opportunities can be created for fellow countrymen and women.
