Hearts ladies have made a donation of energy drinks to the playing body of Accra Hearts of Oak at the team’s training grounds ahead of their titanic clash with Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Sunday.
President of the group Vincentia Doku explained that the visit was a regular ritual that Hearts Ladies undertake to encourage the players ahead of the crucial matches in each season.
Madam Doku said the energy drinks are intended to reinvigorate the playing body as they go into the clash that could define the fortunes of the club this season.
She told Asempa FM that the visit was to encourage the very young players who have not been in such a crucial game before to summon courage for the challenge in Kumasi.
Among the ladies who made the donation are Hannah Tetteh, the Minister of Trade and Industry as well as Justice Ivy Hayward Mills who are all members of Hearts ladies.
Madam Doku said the ladies will back the team with their prayers and called on supporters to come to the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi to cheer the phobian family to victory.
She however advised supporters to stay calm and eschew violence even if the score line does not favour Hearts.
