The Center for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana) presents the 12th Kuronti ne Akwamu Lecture.
This year, the flagship programme features Nobel laureate and former Secretary General of the United Nations, H.E Kofi Annan.
Mr. Kofi Annan will deliver a lecture on the topic: ‘Credible and Peaceful Elections: A Prerequisite for Africa’s Progress’.
He will reaffirm the importance of credible and peaceful elections for Africa’s progress and highlight some of the challenges to democratic practice. He will also suggest how the challenges can be addressed to ensure Africa and Ghana’s democracy continues to thrive.
