This year’s Nhyira FM-MTN Keep-Fit and Fan Clubs Games have been launched in Kumasi.
The third edition of the annual event instituted three years is scheduled for the 6th of November, 2010.
It will bring together about 150 keep-fit, fan and social clubs in the Ashanti Region to socialize and compete in various sporting activities.
The on-air launch was participated by representatives from the National Sports Council, the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly and sponsor organizations of the event.
It was performed by James Akoto, head of finance at the KMA on behalf of the City Mayor, Samuel Sarpong.
Mr. Sam Addo, Regional General Manager of MTN, title sponsor of the games, said his outfit was very proud to be associated with such an innovative programme.
News Editor, Saeed Ali Yaqub, who deputized for the Luv/Nhyira Business Manager as chairman of the occasion, promised the Keep-fit games will subsequently become the biggest outdoor event in Ghana and beyond with the Events Team working enthusiastically to make this year’s edition a memorable one.
Twice overall winners of the event, Bakayano Keep-fit Club were on hand to grace the occasion and promised to win the trophy for keeps.
