Sunderland expect to have Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan back for their weekend game against Wolves after he sat out the Monday night game against Everton with a thigh strain.
Sunderland manager Steve Bruce says Gyan missed the 2-2 draw against Everton because of a thigh strain he picked up on international duty for Ghana in Dubai against Saudi Arabia last week.
Gyan who turned 25 on Monday has been in good form for Sunderland since his summer arrival from Stade Rennes with five Premier League goals so far.
