Acting Managing Director of Hearts of Oak, Vincent Odotei Sowah has strongly hinted the club will look to clear any deadwood in the club as they seek to raise the standard of the club.
The Phobians have quite a number of players in their books with some making limited appearances in the league so far.
The end of the season signals the end of the duration of players in the club and Odotei has stated the club will assess the situation of players whose contract have run out.
“There are about nine players. We are reviewing the club and reviewing the capacity and the performance of each player,” he told Nhyira FM.
“One thing I can assure them is that, we don’t want Accra Hearts of Oak to retrogress looking at where we are now.”
“We are investing a lot into the club and we are doing everything possible so the players remain happy.”
“We will review the players whose contract are about to end.”
“Those that we feel we must keep, we will definitely keep them and those that we don’t want them to stay, we will show them the exit door because we are doing all these things in other ensure that the club never retrogress.”
