Supt Adufati disclosed that they could not determine the immediate cause of the fire, however, he said with their investigations into the remote causes of the fire outbreak, they came out with frequent fire outages, negligent use of power and use of undersized cables.
He also mentioned that it was established that the response by the Fire Service to the market was swift and added that the fire affected 920 facilities and 650 victims.
Mr. Adufati said as part of recommendations, fire wardens are to be formed and trained by the Fire Service and in addition, functioning fire hydrants stationed at vantage points at the market.
