The best coaches, the biggest players, the most exciting leagues; August means football, and football is back!
Even before the transfer window wraps up, it is clear that the world's top league will outdo themselves again as pre-season nears its end.
The English Premier League lays claim to the best coaches calling its grounds their home, with enigmatic Jose Mourinho at Manchester United, the cerebral Pep Guardiola at rivals Manchester City, the pragmatic Antonio Conte at Chelsea and the suave Mauricio Pochettino plotting a Tottenham surprise. Or maybe the wizened Wenger will with the Gunners when the EPL kicks off this weekend?
For Ghanaians, the attraction is heightened by Andre Ayew's move to Betway sponsored West Ham United, where he joins a solid cast including Dmitri Payet, Andy Carroll and their tactically snazzy coach SlavenBilic.
"I know Ghanaians follow the EPL well and it's true that wherever their countryman plays, they get behind that team," Ayew said in his first interview with West Ham.
"And I know West Ham will get more Ghanaian and African fans not just because I am here, but because we will aim to play entertaining football!"
The exhilaration is not reserved forEngland only; not when Spain is around!
Another year of Spanish football is set to start and it is anticipated that the Ballon d'Or will surely come from the glamour of either Real Madrid (in the form of Cristiano Ronaldo) or FC Barcelona (Lionel Messi).
And with Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, Valencia and all the other La Liga sides angling to break the dominance of the top two again, Spain's excitement cannot be overlooked when the action begins on the weekend of 20-21 August.
Italy begins the Serie A the same weekend and even without the gold dust of the departing Paul Pogba to Manchester United, Juventus have enough armament to fire themselves to a repeat title. However that is not a certainty as Napoli still hunger to upset the established order of the last two years - if even only to spite their exiting star Gonzalo Higuain.
Across Europe eyes will also be on the charged Bundesliga, with a determined Borussia Dortmund aiming to smash the money-machine that is Bayern Munich. Can Bayer Leverkusen cause waves by sneaking to an unlikely title?
Football season is indeed upon us. The anticipation is rapidly risingwith these and other exciting leagues across the globe already announcing their official fixtures.
At the centre of all the excitement, Betway Ghana, a syndicated Betway brand promises football punters a season with safe and secure online betting.
Not only do customers get the chance to beton their favorite teams and win, they also get the opportunity to experience the electrifying atmospheres at the public viewing of some of the games.
Football fans will be hosted to free drinks and barbeques at some selected games at the Betway office in Accra.
Bettors especially have expressed excitement about the impending season and the experience Betway is offering. A regular bettor and winner, Ralph, is convinced the platform is the easiest to use.
“Compared to the others this one is easiest to bet on,” he said.
“I’m relieved that there are no print outs which can easily become a bone of contention and I especially like the fact that my money goes straight into my mobile money wallet and I can cash it from any vendor. For sure this season, I’m stuck to Betway!”
With footprints in 12 countries, Betway has the edge of international, established trust which makes it more attractive to a larger demographic than its competitors.
Their firm footing in the sports betting industry makes Betway one of the leading names in online entertainment.
