The Ghana Journalists Association after 16 years is re-launching its code of ethics at a forum in Accra today.
Papers will be presented on current challenges facing journalists in the country.
The event is in collaboration with the Media Foundation for West Africa whose Executive Director Professor Kwame Karikari says it is an attempt to refresh the minds of journalists about the ethics of the profession.
He said the proliferation of media houses in the country means there is an increase in the number of journalists and which in turn increases the ethical challenges.
That situation, Prof. Karikari said, makes it necessary to re-launch the code.
