DSP Dogbevia said the suspect, a former employee at the deceased's restaurant was arrested on December 7, following pieces of information gathered by the police.
DSP Dogbevia said, the suspect was allegedly sacked from working at the restaurant for pilfering.
He stated that the description of Mr. Brown's assailant on the day of the incident fitted that of the suspect but said the police were conducting further investigations into the matter.
Coincidentally, DSP Dogbevia said on the day of his arrest, a complaint had been made against the suspect by someone for stealing a plasma television set.

DSP Dogbevia appealed to the public who have information on the murder to report to the police.
Mr. Brown, an old student of St. Augustine's College, Cape Coast, was stabbed to death at dawn on December 7, by someone when he came out of his bedroom to keep surveillance on the house, following several harassments from thieves.
According to the wife, Mrs. Gifty Brown, the restaurant had experienced a number of robberies which compelled her husband to be waking up at dawn to monitor the house.
