Ghana FA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi, has likened the actions of Youth and Sports Minister to a serial caller.
Nii Lantey had described the league as unattractive hence no sponsors.
A statement the FA President deems unsubstantiated and without facts, an act only practiced by serial callers.
“If the league is not attractive, how did we recorded an amount up to GHC 400,000 in a single match between Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko and when we record these gate fees we pay vat on them so the government is also a beneficiary.
“The league is the most attractive sporting event in Ghana now ahead of cycling, athletics, volleyball and everything so there is nothing to be even compare to it and to say the league is unattractive.”
"This is a league that we sleep, dream and think about it and the interesting thing is that all the clubs are owned by private entities so the question is that what has the government being doing to help those teams and I expect the minister to be doing that and not to be criticizing the league without any facts probably like a serial caller.
“We must be very serious and adopt a professional approach to our analysis of issues and set out the facts so that people can make their own judgement but any accession or the view that the league is unattractive, with all due respect can never be supported by the facts.”
