Some supporters of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), in the Amansie West District are demanding the removal of the district chief executive.
They accuse the DCE, Charles Oti-Prempeh of corruption. They have issued a two-week ultimatum to dismiss him or they leave the party.
NHYIRA FM's Kofi Asante reports the youth are accusing the DCE of building a house in the Ashanti Regional capital barely 20 months upon assumption of office.
They also say Mr Oti-Prempeh is guilty of breaching tender procedures and extorting money from applicants into the National Youth Employment Programme.
According to the youth, the DCE had consistently ignored the opinions of party executives and other opinion leaders in the area.
Kofi Asante says the youth are unwilling to give even a tenuous evidence of their accusation saying they will only make the evidence public if the appointing authority fails to sack Mr Oti-Prempeh by the expiration of their ultimatum.
The DCE has however denied all the allegations. He said he had brought a lot of development projects to the area.
