President John Mahama has reiterated government's commitment to ensuring the credibility of the upcoming elections to safeguard the country's democracy.
This comes as the country prepares to go to the polls to elect a president and 275 Members of Parliament in 81 days.
Speaking at the Ghana Military Academy Graduation Parade on Friday, President Mahama advised Ghanaians against the use of abusive language in political discussions.
"We must remain temperate in our utterances and be tolerant to opposing views," he urged.”‹
His red and black ceremonial military uniform caught the attention of the entire military and others who had gathered at the Military Academy for the ceremony.
He said Government is making all efforts to ensure that Ghana is safe from terrorist attacks.
"As a government, we are making all efforts to integrate our defence structures properly into the sub-regional corporation framework by which the needed synergy will be created to enhance our collective chances of success in the fight against terrorism," he indicated.

The President also called on Ghanaians to have confidence in the security agencies and cooperate with them to ensure that this year's election is peaceful.

President Mahama commended the graduating officers and assured them that Government will continue to equip the security agencies for efficiency.
