Peoples Party (CPP) has set September 30, 2011 as the date to elect its flagbearer for the 2012 general elections.
The party has also resolved to elect national officers between April 29 and 30.
These were contained in a resolution adopted by members of the National Executive Committee (NEC) after a meeting held in Accra.
In a statement issued and signed by its Chairman, Ladi Nylander, the party said rules and procedures of engagement for contestants would be communicated to the rank and file of the party not later than Wednesday, January 26.
The Central Committee of the CPP has also been tasked to fine-tune and finalize amendments to the party's proposed Constitution as presented for ratification at the next National Delegates Congress.
The party also indicated its commitment towards a united Nkrumahist family.
