Local Black Stars striker Emmanuel Clottey has apologized for the team's abysmal display at the CHAN after a second straight defeat in Group B on Wednesday.
Ghana, silver medalists at the last edition, were piped 1-0 by Zimbabwe at the Stade Wad Madani after a 2-1 reverse to South Africa last Saturday.
The local Black Stars must get a big win over Niger on Sunday and hope Zimbabwe fall heavy to Group leaders South Africa to stand a chance of qualifying to the quarter-final.
“We apologise for our bad performance, we did not expect to play like this, we don’t know what happened,” Clottey said a post-match conference.
“We want to correct out mistakes and we have one more chance to do that.”
