The President and First Lady of the United States are inviting both contemporary and classic artists to the White House for a concert on Thursday, February, 24.
The evening will honor both the 50-year legacy of Motown as well as Black History Month, according to a statement.
Smokey Robinson; Natasha Bedingfield; Sheryl Crow; Jamie Foxx; Nick Jonas; country group Gloriana; John Legend; R&B singer Ledisi; “Glee” stars Amber Riley and Mark Salling; Seal; and Jordin Sparks have all signed up to perform at the event.
The Motown Sound: In Performance at the White House will be held in the East Room and it will be broadcasted on PBS stations across the US on March 1.
